Steven A. Marderosian has a decade and a half of general counsel experience representing business owners, entrepreneurs, and insurers in a vast array of business, commercial, and indemnity matters. His practice focuses on advising clients in trial and appellate litigation and corporate law with an emphasis on:

Mr. Marderosian is a highly experienced trial and appellate attorney who has obtained over 30 successful solo jury verdicts and has argued orally before appellate courts. Some of his most significant accomplishments are as follows:
- Defeated $2,000,000.00 legal malpractice case via directed verdict during jury trial
- Won dismissal of $1,500,000.00 real estate fraud case, affirmed on appeal
- Assessed $785,000.00 verdict value 4 years before jury returned $785,000.00 verdict
- Defeated $500,000.00 intentional tort case via not guilty jury verdict, affirmed on appeal
- Induced defamation defendant to sign $200,000.00 consent judgment before jury selection
- Obtained oral argument in 2 consecutive appeals by court that heard only 3% of all cases
Mr. Marderosian utilizes his trial court, jury, and appellate court expertise to counsel clients in a wide array of industries including professional services, manufacturing, technology, and insurance. His unusual breadth of general counsel and litigation experience uniquely qualifies him to advise clients in methods of avoiding or limiting litigation exposure, cost-effective methods of risk management, and early termination of contested matters through alternative dispute resolution and other means.
Prior to joining Clingen Callow & McLean, LLC in June 2006, Mr. Marderosian practiced in Chicago with a boutique general counsel firm and with a large insurance and commercial litigation firm. Mr. Marderosian graduated with Academic Honors from the University of Illinois in Champaign in 1991 (mid-year) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Business Administration. While attending U of I he was on the Mock Trial Team and received a nomination for “Best Lawyer” during the annual National Mock Trial Competition. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1995 (mid-year), completing the night school program one semester early while working almost full-time.
Mr. Marderosian is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States Bar for the Northern District of Illinois. He is an Officer with the DuPage County Chapter of the American Inns of Court and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce.
