Del Koch is of counsel to the firm and
concentrates her practice in estate planning, probate and trusts.
Her practice includes preparing wills and trusts of all levels of
complexity and counseling clients regarding estate, gift and
generation-skipping transfer taxes, asset reallocation, estate tax
planning for non-U.S. citizens and planning for retirement, life
insurance and closely-held business assets. She emphasizes non-tax
estate planning issues as well, including planning for disabled
beneficiaries, asset protection and prenuptial agreements. She also
handles the settlement of decedents' estates and trust
administration.
Ms. Koch graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
degree, maxima cum laude, from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, in
1978. She received a Juris Doctor degree, special honors with high
distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1981.
While there, she was admitted to the Order of the Coif and served as
a Note and Comment Editor of the Iowa Law Review. After graduation,
Ms. Koch joined the Chicago office of Sidley & Austin, where she
practiced as an associate member of the Corporate and Securities
Group for one year and the Estates and Trusts Group for over three
years. Since then she has concentrated her practice in estates and
trusts.
She is admitted to the Illinois Bar
and belongs to the DuPage County Estate Planning Council, the
Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar
Association.
