Intellectual Property

We regularly consult with our clients in the areas of trademark, copyright and trade secrets. We use our knowledge and skill to assist our clients by protecting and enforcing their particular intellectual property rights.

We have represented our clients in matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States Copyright Office, including:

• Prosecution of both trademark and copyright applications;
• Representation of clients in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; and
• Representation of clients in both trademark and copyright litigation.

We presently coordinate, monitor and manage trademarks on behalf of our clients to ensure compliance with all required procedures for purposes of obtaining and maintaining trademark registration status.

We also have extensive experience in representing our clients in various trade secret matters. We are proactive in our counseling in this area by recognizing issues and taking steps to protect our clients’ trade secrets before disputes can arise. However, in the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved through negotiation, we also have extensive experience in prosecuting and defending trade secret litigation.
